Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how Times Tables Trainer uses cookies and similar technologies. We try to use as few cookies as possible — only what we really need to make the site work and to keep it free.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time, so you don't have to re-enter them every visit.
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They cannot be switched off in our system.
- Practice progress cookies — remember which times tables you have practiced and how many stars you have earned. Stored in your browser only. Anyone who clears their browser cookies will reset their progress.
- Login session cookies — only set when a teacher logs in or when a student enters a class password. They keep you signed in while you are using the site.
- Security cookies — used to protect forms against abuse (CSRF protection).
Cookies From Our Caching System
- WP Super Cache — we use a caching layer to keep the site fast. It may set technical cookies to decide whether to serve a cached page. It does not track you.
Advertising Cookies
We display advertising from Google AdSense on some pages to keep the service free. Because most of our visitors are children, we have configured Google to serve only non-personalized ads on our site. This means Google does not use cookies or device identifiers for personalized advertising on Times Tables Trainer.
Google may still set a cookie for:
- Frequency capping (so you don't see the same ad over and over);
- Aggregated ad reporting;
- Fraud and abuse detection.
You can learn more in the Google ad policies and adjust your ad preferences in Google Ad Settings.
Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or similar website-analytics tools;
- Facebook Pixel or other social-media tracking pixels;
- Personalized-advertising cookies on the children's parts of the site;
- Third-party tracking beyond what is described above.
How to Manage or Delete Cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings:
If you disable cookies completely, your practice progress will not be saved between sessions and teachers will not be able to stay logged in.
Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and refresh the “Last updated” date at the top.
