How to Earn the Silver Certificate
The Silver Certificate is a real challenge! With this certificate you show that you have mastered all the times tables from 1 through 10. You answer 40 multiplication problems in 8 minutes. That asks a bit more of you than the Bronze Certificate. Practice the times tables well before you start — that gives you the best chance of earning the certificate. Didn't pass on the first try? No problem. Practice the tables you find tricky and try again. You can try as many times as you want. Take your time and make sure you are truly ready. When you earn the Silver Certificate, you get a real certificate to save or print. If you can't print at home, your teacher can do it for you — they see all the certificates from the class.
